Tiny Gets Charged With Possession of Ecstasy
Oct 30th

Ti’s Wife Tiny has just been charged with one count of misdemeanour drug possession stemming from her and T.I.’s arrest in September.
Last month Bonnie and Clyde were arrested in L.A for possession of a controlled substance, after they were pulled over in West Hollywood and found in possession of ecstasy.
Prosecutors charged Tameka Cottle with possession of ecstasy on Friday and she is due in court for an arraignment on Nov. 1 in Beverly Hills.
T.I. however wasn’t charged by L.A. County District Attorney who rejected the drug case stemming from his arrest last month.
T.I. won’t be prosecuted because he’s already set to serve 11 months in prison for probation violation and is scheduled to turn himself in by November 1st.
I don’t feel bad for either of them they are adult but, i do feel bad for the babies…

Usher Covers October/November 2010 Issue of VIBE Magazine
Oct 5th

Usher is featured on the cover of the October/November 2010 issue of VIBE Magazine,
due on newsstands nationwide soon. In the issue, the Grammy Award winning R&B crooner discusses his new album
Raymond v. Raymond, his divorce from Tameka Foster
and supporting younger acts in the entertainment industry and more.
On Raymond V Raymond being a career rebound
“I don’t think it was a rebound at all. Some people in my organization felt like it was a rebound, but for me it was business as usual. Were there hard times in the process? Absolutely. I think it was the first time that doubt was ever amongst the opinions. Like, Can he do it again? Is it possible that this can happen? When you have 15 years of a legacy built, it shouldn’t be questionable with one album.”
On how long he was thinking about divorcing Tameka
“During our disagreements, that’s when I really began to contemplate marriage and if this is someone whom I’m compatible with. Anytime we had a disagreement or an argument, I began to contemplate: Wow, is this really gonna work out? I’m going through hell right now, given the fact that people have an opinion about our relationship. I can’t be unhappy at home and fighting the wars or the opinions outside… ‘You should’ve handled things this way,’ ‘I wish you would’ve said this,’ ‘You’re handling me wrong,’ ‘I don’t like the way I’m feeling about this’—it could be anything, man.”
On supporting younger acts
“There is no competition. I think that the artists that are doing great, they definitely need to have the support of the people that have [paved the road]. And that’s why I support Chris. I support Trey Songz. I support the Sammies of the world. I support the Lloyds of the world. Because this is a dying industry. This next tour represents a standard that has to be set for entertainment.”

Today is the 9th anniversary of 9/11
Sep 11th

Today the US has marks the nine year anniversary of 9/11 amid
controversy over plans for an Islamic center near Ground Zero
and a threat from some nut job to burn the Koran.
Services were held at each location where the “planes crashed” and the names
of those who died were read aloud at Ground Zero.
President Barack Obama urged respect for other religious faiths and,
paid tribute to those who lost their lives, during a speech at a service at the Pentagon.
There were also one-minute silences to mark the moment when
the World Trade Center towers were hit and the time at which each tower fell.
I have my thoughts about 9/11 but I will keep them to myself… i do want to pay respect to all those who lost their lives doing what most of us do every morning, and that is getting up and simply going to work.
A lot of brave men and women lost their lives that day, I sincerely wish that the families of 9/11 victims
eventually get the answers that some are so desperately seeking.

Behind the scenes of Kanye’s video power
Aug 5th

Here goes some behind the scenes footage Kanye West’s new video for “Power”
Kanye’s video has a very dark Illuminati type theme, in the video you see with him donning
the chain of Horus, surrounded by fully/partially nude women, who are wearing devil horns
and hanging from the ceiling as he prepares to be executed….
The director of the video has released a video showing the inspiration behind the video,
the video is said to be inspired by Michelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel which depicts
a faux historical moment, an empire on the brink of collapse from its own excess, decadence and corruption.
Speaking on the finished product Brambilla says,
“This is a finely constructed, highly mannered, somewhat religious tableau that communicates the end of an empire.”
The video debuts tomorrow (Thursday, August 5) at 11 p.m. on MTV.
Eminem on the cover of Spin Mag
Jul 21st

Eminem made the cover of the August 2010 issue of SPIN Magazine, it depicts the rapper up close and personal. In an candid interview with Jonah Weiner, Em takes a trip down memory lane…
both literally and figuratively.
The 37-year-old rapper talks about taking regular trips down 19946 Dresden Street just to see his childhood home, a setting that has influenced so many of his rhymes, and represented his earliest struggles.
Jonah writes: “He made his name, foremost, as a fighter, as a threat, as an irritant
battling for acceptance as a white MC, railing against censorious parents’ groups and pundits, lashing out viciously against everyone from his mother to George W. Bush
to ‘N Sync.” For a man who pushed himself into the limelight by calling out anyone
he could touch, the hardest part was running out of people criticize, and criticizing the man he said he had become. Recovery, Marshall Mathers’ seventh album,
is about his journey back from the brink, about his anxieties, addictions, and fears, and finally fully cleaning out his closet…

“I’ll go back and remember, like, f*ck, man,
how life was back then, How much of a struggle it was.
As time goes by, you might get content and forget things.”

Lyfe Jennings, Shawty Lo & Cousin Jeff Celebrate Achievements Of Black Male Youth
Jun 29th
source: hiphop wired
Please watch all the videos, cousin Jeff has always been a deep brother, i am so proud of them for coming through and helping uplift young brothers, we most definitely need to do better as a community, the sad part is this will not make CNN or BET but if they were doing some Bullishh, it would be front page news smh….please share this post with others, the word needs to get out.
Lyfe Jennings is using his music for good and making positive steps to enrich the lives of young Black men.
The “Statistics” hit maker opened his home to 100 African American boys that participate in the national OK Program, an organization that aims to reduce the high rates of incarceration and homicide of young Black males by guiding them away from prison and towards college, military service, vocational training.
The boys selected from Arkansas and Indianapolis to join in Thursday’s activities all earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher and have been paired with male mentors to continue to usher them in the right direction.
In addition to Lyfe, the boys were greeted by Shawty Lo and BET’s Jeffrey “Cousin Jeff “ Johnson who shared their life experiences and encouraged them to stay on the straight narrow.
Jeff gave an especially motivating speech and told the boys that he planned on reaching out to radio host Tom Joyner to gain even more support for the OK Program.
He also made sure to add that its’ up to the young men to fulfill the organization’s expectations for them so they can pay it forward and not end up like so many of their fellow “leaders” that end up in jail.
“The most messed up thing about the Black community is about half the brothers that are supposed to be leading are locked up. And they’re locked up not because they weren’t leaders, they’re locked up because they were leading the wrong set…”
Jeff encouraged the young men to do more than what’s expected and said the only thing “good enough” for the program would be for them to take action and work as “intellectual gangsters.”
“The only thing that’s enough is if you all are the intellectual gangsters that our community needs to have the ability to use their brains and their hands are willing to build what nobody else wants to build…”
The founder of the OK program Donald Norcross was also on tap beaming as his participants enjoyed the day’s activities.
Norcross told HipHopWired that he founded the program in 1990 after working as a sheriff’s deputy and seeing so many Black male youth incarcerated and put into the system.
He says he met Lyfe a few months ago during a concert and the R&B star was so impressed with OK that he invited the participants to his house for a day of fun and fulfillment.
“It wonderful, I met Lyfe two months ago….and he was looking for some kids to come talk to….He found out we were coming to Atlanta in a few months and he said, “Why don’t you bring the boys over and let me barbecue for them and just hang out and have a good time….”
Bankhead representative Shawty Lo also came through to speak to the youth and shared his experience with the prison system. Unbeknownst to many, Lo’s been arrested 28 times and has four convictions to his name.
Despite the odds being stacked against him, L-O’ says God’s allowed him to progress.
“I could be anywhere but I feel like God got me here for a reason. I been doing positive things…for the last five things I’ve been doing great and God has blessed me with a talent to do music…Y’all can be anything y’all wanna be in life…”
Check out pictures of Lyfe, So So Def artist Dondria and Shawty Lo as they celebrate the achievements of the youth of the OK Program.
