Matt speaks about the shout out he got from Erykah Badu
Mar 30th

Blogxilla.com spoke to matt from the group kim and matt, these two people inspired Erykah Badu to make her window seat video.
Blogxilla’s words:
When I asked Matt how he felt about such a big named star remaking his video told me about a bigger picture. Matt says “She’s an artist that I respect and like and before she made the video I got a call from her and we talked about it for a little bit. We talked about the bigger picture she saw of this to expand out to be like… for more people to try this.
“I definitely respect that she gave us credit by putting our name in her video, rather than just making the video and not giving us credit. I think she did the video in the right spirit as we talked and more than just shock value. There was a bigger idea for the whole thing. In the end it’s an element of flattery, as the person who came up with the idea and the person who did it. But, there is a certain side that’s like well, that was something we have done… (Chuckles)”
Matt on the Negative feedback Erykah Badu received from her video:
“I heard a little bit about the negative feedback, but we didn’t have that sort of reaction to our video, but you know she’s a larger act than us and I guess they consider her responsibilities something else than two idiot kids from Brooklyn, that are doing stupid things.
My personal opinion is that there is really no… one of the things I heard, that they were saying was a problem with it, was being nude with children present and things like that. I don’t think there is really a problem so much with the naked body. I think there are videos on tv with more sexual condensation that are far more inappropriate than just seeing the naked figure which shouldn’t be anything offensive. It’s just nature.”
This is their video the ending is crazy!

Ricky Martin comes out the closet #notshocked
Mar 30th

Ricky Martin finally jumped out the closet he posted the following message on his official website
“I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.”
Martin says the birth of his twin sons led to his decision to come out, Ricky’s kids were born in August 2008.
This is all i have to say, i knew he was gay in 1999, hell was gay during Menudo, he just didn’t have anyone to be gay with.
he tried way to hard to dodge the question over the years, who cares? gay or straight do you.
Ricky’s full confession:
A few months ago I decided to write my memoirs, a project I knew was going to bring me closer to an amazing turning point in my life. From the moment I wrote the first phrase I was sure the book was the tool that was going to help me free myself from things I was carrying within me for a long time. Things that were too heavy for me to keep inside. Writing this account of my life, I got very close to my truth. And this is something worth celebrating.
For many years, there has been only one place where I am in touch with my emotions fearlessly and that’s the stage. Being on stage fills my soul in many ways, almost completely. It’s my vice. The music, the lights and the roar of the audience are elements that make me feel capable of anything. This rush of adrenaline is incredibly addictive. I don’t ever want to stop feeling these emotions. But it is serenity that brings me to where I’m at right now. An amazing emotional place of comprehension, reflection and enlightenment. At this moment I’m feeling the same freedom I usually feel only on stage, without a doubt, I need to share.
Many people told me: “Ricky it’s not important”, “it’s not worth it”, “all the years you’ve worked and everything you’ve built will collapse”, “many people in the world are not ready to accept your truth, your reality, your nature”. Because all this advice came from people who I love dearly, I decided to move on with my life not sharing with the world my entire truth. Allowing myself to be seduced by fear and insecurity became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage. Today I take full responsibility for my decisions and my actions.
If someone asked me today, “Ricky, what are you afraid of?” I would answer “the blood that runs through the streets of countries at war…child slavery, terrorism…the cynicism of some people in positions of power, the misinterpretation of faith.” But fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, It fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things every day. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.
These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed.
What will happen from now on? It doesn’t matter. I can only focus on what’s happening to me in this moment. The word “happiness” takes on a new meaning for me as of today. It has been a very intense process. Every word that I write in this letter is born out of love, acceptance, detachment and real contentment. Writing this is a solid step towards my inner peace and vital part of my evolution.
I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.
Erykah Badu’s new song, Window Seat is causing lots of controversy!
Mar 30th

Erykah Badu’s new song, Window Seat is boring as hell,(to me) but the video has cause alot of controversy.
Badu was trying to hard to be provocative, and because of this it has ignited a firestorm of racist comments from youtubers and bloggers.
So basically what happens is a cameraman follows Badu as she walks down the street headed toward Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. For those of you who may not be aware of the historical significance, Dealey Plaza is where John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.
As Badu casually strolls down she street, she removes her clothes, piece by piece. When she reaches the spot where JFK was gun down, she is completely nude. just like JFK, she too, is shot in the head. As Badu lies “dying”, the blue blood oozing from her wound, spells out the words
“Group Think”.
I wont lie the song made me yawnnn at first, what shocked me how thick Erykah was, I always thought she was skinny, but she has a very nice shape #kanyeshrug can’t lie!
I think the video was very thought provoking she did it in one take, in front of a bunch of strangers,
those people were not paid actors or extras. it took a lot of balls (no pun intended) to do something like that, after watching the video 5x the song has grown on me a little, but more importantly i understand what she was trying to invoke, and the message that she is trying to send out to the masses.
I wonder if Lady Gaga did this would it be as controversial? right now “telephone” is being played day and night on MTV and lady gaga and beyonce killed a whole restaurant! there is absolutely nothing genuine or thought provoking about lady gaga she is a huge gimmick, I’ve seen her ass in very video and numerous award shows, but i have yet to see the same outrage that Erykah Badu was given, maybe if Erykah wasn’t a curvy black women or was shaped as manly as lady gaga everyone would have felt more comfortable.
people are such hypocrites!
Anyways this is how Badu explained the message in her video:
“Sure, I would like to say that it was a protest to awaken a term called “groupthink.” It’s a term that was coined in 1952. It’s the recognition of a state of being for humans. It’s human nature for a person to be afraid to express his or her self in fear of being ostracized by the group or general consensus.
A lot of times people are judged unfairly because of that. I think about the Salem witch trials; I think about the assassination of Christ, I think about the character assassination of artists and celebrities on blog sites. I think about all of these things as groupthink. And when I fall to the ground in the video, the word groupthink spills out of my head, because I was assassinated by groupthink.”
