Before T.I and Tiny got popped by LAPD he did a interview with MTV,
he also had a photoshoot with Upscale Magazine,
Upscale magazine just released the cover, T.I. is featured on not one,
but two covers of UPSCALE magazine’s September/October 2010 issue.
Here’s a few quotes from T.I. in this month’s issue:
On the advice he’d give to young Clifford Harris:
I would say man, if you knew what I knew, you would chill out… I would tell myself you’re going to be alright later on, all you have to do is cool out, you might not see it right now, but you have a reason to fall back. I just hope that I would listen.
On his best and worst character traits:
I can manage to be arrogant or confident as well as be humble and possess a certain level of humility. I can be aggressive and I can also be mild mannered.
On his future in hip hop:
I know I still have the ability to do it, but I don’t know if I have as much passion to do it as I once did… I might find that I’m more effective in another capacity, but I won’t know if I don’t ever try. I have other talents and abilities that I may not be paying any attention to because I have this first one that I’m very fond of and I’ve grown attached to… As an artist I still would like to be better, but as an artist, I think TI has had a stellar career already.
On loyalty getting in the way of business:
If I say I’m gonna ride with you, I’m gonna ride with you. That’s personally, professionally. So even if I know that you might not be all what everyone else thinks you’re cracked up to be, I’m still gonna ride it out with you. It does get tiresome and it does get gruesome at time, but I don’t know no other way to be.
On his favorite quality in a woman:
Just having that instinct of when to take charge and when to fall back.

Chuck D speaks about Wyclef

Hip-Hop pioneer Chuck D has recently voiced his opinion regarding Wyclef’s decision to run for Presidency in his home country Haiti.
In an interview with VladTV.com, Chuck D states that although Wyclef was disqualified, his decision to run for President would have been great for the country that has been “torn between Spaniards and the French” since its inception.
“I think he is justified,” Chuck D said in the interview. “Everything up to this point has failed because the white man has had his western hand in an island that has been split between Spaniards and the French, so from the beginning the country seemed damned.”
In addition to speaking about Wyclef, Chuck D also discussed what has led to the country impoverished state, even before the earthquake and what he feels would take to help along the road to recovery.
“I think that right now then [Wyclef's] positive energy,” Chuck D continued. “I think that the country had been raped for so long by the white man and by western hands, that they need him to come in and give everything a different direction.”
Chuck also discussed whether politics was in his future plans.
“Hell no,” Chuck D said. “Maybe a cultural advisor, because I am all about bringing people together. “

Trick Daddy is set to release his autobiography

An autobiography on the life of Trick Daddy is set to hit stores this November.
It’s titled “Magic City: Trials of a Native Son”, the self written book will chronicle his life as one of twenty-seven children growing up in poverty against the backdrop of Miami, Florida; what the former Slip N’ Slide rapper calls the “Magic City.”
The book will detail the rise to fame of Trick, real name Maurice Young, from his crime-laden adolescence and incarceration to his present battle with the potentially fatal medical condition lupus.
It’s sounds intresting I may have to cop it…

it’s set to drop on November 23rd, Nicki sat down recently to talk with DJ Greg Street.
she is feeling the weight of her gender on her shoulders…
Nicki revealed:
“They [major labels] won’t look to sign other female rappers if the project doesn’t do well. Because they’re gonna say ‘well, her buzz was so crazy, if she couldn’t do it no one can do it’. I don’t want that to happen so I’m doing this for all the girls.”
Nicki also reveled her fears about becoming a MC.
“For a long time in my life, I was afraid to be a solo female rapper, because everyone told me, ‘It doesn’t work. It’s not going to happen. Record companies are never going to invest in you just to get it. Just be part of a group.’”

Rapper B.O.B. has been doing his thing for a while now,
The “Airplanes” rapper will be the opening act for Jay-Z and Eminem’s back-to-back concerts at Detroit’s Comerica park and the New York Yankee Stadium. Bobby’s managers T.J. Chapman and Brian Richardson confirmed the news via Twitter.
“I’m excited about heading to Detroit tomorrow for a few days. B.o.B is performing @ Tiger Stadium w/ GUESS WHO & WHO????” Chapman tweeted Tuesday night.
“New York & Detroit, B.o.B is gonna open up for @EMINEM! and @JayZ!!!” Richardson wrote on Twitter Wednesday.
The Detroit show is tonight (Thurs. Sep 2) and Friday night….while the shows in New York are slated for September 13th and 14th.
Rihanna on the set of Battleship

Rihanna is beginning to work on the set of her feature film debut in “Battleship.”
Rihanna was dressed in character yesterday, she was donning a traditional U.S. Navy getup with gloves and work boots.
She was in Hawaii on the set of the Peter Berg-directed science-fiction movie, wearing a nametag with the name “Raikes.”
According to one of Rihanna’s latest tweets, the singer is scheduled to continue work in Hawaii for two weeks.
“HAWAII…Hawaii…hawaii……who wouldn’t want to work here for 2 weeks,” she tweeted,
Universal has set “Battleship” for May 25, 2012, release.
